Your wedding reception should be one of the most exciting, memorable, emotional, fun and personal days of your life, and we aim to provide a bespoke service which encompasses all these factors.

As we have many years of experience and have supplied DJs and disco's for hundreds and hundreds of satisfied clients, you really can leave yourselves in our hands.

Your reception or party can be anything you want it to be. Traditional with formal announcements, or less formal for a wedding celebration, civil ceremony or party.

The choice is yours.

Wedding Receptions - Our Speciality

We want you to make you feel special on your day, and so tailor the evening reception to suit your personality and style.

We can work with playlists with you, as we feel this makes the whole evening personal to you, and evokes memories as you hear that special song that meant something to you and your partner or family.

We can make special requests or dedications during the evening.

Your DJ can be as chatty or non chatty as you want him to be. If you prefer a more interactive DJ with some light chat, then we can provide that, or if you would prefer someone just to make the appropriate announcements, then we can provide a DJ to do just that.

As our DJs are all experienced in attending wedding functions, they can help with the organisation, announcing first dances, cake cutting, and buffet time. When you book, these factors will all be discussed, and then on the evening your DJ will discuss and take you through the timings for the evening.

You might consider these options:

Traditional with music from the 50s and 60s right through to the latest chart with lots of party classics your guests will want to dance and maybe even sing to.

If you have a lot of people of the same age range, you may like to specify certain era's and genres to play.

If you don't like particular songs, then we won't play them - it is your day and evening after all and we would hate to offend anyone by a wrong choice of song for whatever reason.

Our DJs have recently performed at weddings where the bride and groom were very specific about styles of music to be played. We have played at weddings where there was a 'no cheese' policy, and the music requested was Indie, Northern Soul, Ska and Motown. This went down a storm with the guests, but you must be sure if requesting these specific genres.

You may be surprised what people will dance to once they are relaxed and in a party mood, and also what they request! We do play requests and there's not much we won't play unless you ask us not to when booking.

As people arrive for the evening part of your function, we will have background music running as people relax, have a drink and socialise with one another. This would normally last from 30 - 60 minutes, depending on whether evening guests have arrived and also if the wedding is running to time.

6:30pm - DJ arrives at venue and advises staff of his arrival. Set up begins unless the room is not cleared from the wedding breakfast.

7:30pm - Equipment is set up neatly and the DJ is changed into either formal wear, lounge suit or smart/casual dress, depending on your requirements, and background music is playing while evening guests arrive.

8-8:30pm - Traditional first dance for the bride and groom. The traditional first dance chosen by the bride and groom will normally be the 'official' start of the evening, where the music is turned up louder, everyone is welcomed to the function, and the DJ announces the newly weds onto the dance floor.

Some couples prefer to dance on their own, enjoying the spotlight, but others prefer to have frineds and family invited to join them after a short while.

We normally suggest having another couple of slowies after the first dance, so that perhaps the bride and groom could then dance with immediate members of their family.

Some couples prefer a faster song to start the celebration with a bang and others may favour to have a less formal approach with a slow dance later during the evening.

Remember, it is your day, and you only do what you are comfortable with!

8:30-9pm - More lively music, dependant on your requests and wishes. A complete selection can be played if required, so to please eveyone.

9pm - DJ to announce buffet, and to play background music while people eat and relax. We have found that this is a natural break and people can eat, drink, relax and chat whilst enjoying some soothing background music.

9:30pm - Disco re-starts playing a selection of classic hits, requests and party tunes.

11:50pm - Romantic slowies for the end of the evening or perhaps something livelier - the choice is yours.

12 midnight: DJ says goodnight and disco finishes.

This is just to give you an example and any part or timing can be changed to suit you and your guests.
